Important Things To Remember:

***There is no deadline to finish a book for a called category, however in order for a book to count you must have had at least 100 pages left of the book to read in order for said book to work for the category called.

**Because of MIA players in the past, with this challenge you must comment in your team's thread within a week of a new category getting called (unless it is a planned absence). Failure to do so twice in a row will result in your removal from the team."

Book Rules:

• Books must be at least 100 pages.
• Cookbooks, Picture books, Manga, Graphic Novels, Poetry books are not allowed for this challenge. Aside from that, any books over 100 pages count for the challenge.

Read all the rules here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Hello, ladies! Anyone have specific plans for their books? I'm kicking around a few options. I'm expecting a book with a horse cover in the mail, but am not sure if it will come this week. I may end up just counting the standalone book I'm in the middle of, an old mystery.

Sarita | 1386 comments Hi Ladies! Glad to be part of your team.

So my plan will be to try to read a book with whatever category is called, but if I don't have that or need to read a different book, I will probably go for option 2.

As far as my plan for finishing the categories. I will see what is called and how our bingo looks and will try to tackle the ones first which will give us our bingo the fastest :-)

For Horse: Lonestar Sanctuary (Lonestar, #1) by Colleen Coble or
Standalone: Room for Hope by Kim Vogel Sawyer

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Hi, Dizzy!

message 16: by Hannah (last edited Mar 08, 2018 10:54AM) (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments So I decided on my book. I'm reading a vintage mystery, The Postmaster's Daughter, and am on P. 123 out of 307 pages. I decided to go ahead and read a standalone rather than hope that my review book (A Most Noble Heir) comes in the mail before Thursday and that I have time to read it.

Also, I'm going to count Beneath the Surface as my free space book, since I'm also currently reading that one. I just started the first few chapters last night and am hooked! I have about 250 pgs to go to finish it.

Anyone else have ideas for their free space books?

(Edit: I know there's no real deadline, but if I don't stay on top of things and read my book per week I'll be sadly behind.)

Brittany | 1038 comments Hi everyone!

I believe I will be reading The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers as a standalone option. I have it on request at my library and it says that it is in transit there now. So I should have it soon.

message 18: by Staci (new)

Staci | 1071 comments I enjoyed that one Brittany!!

Brittany | 1038 comments I finished The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers and loved it!

message 24: by Sarita (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Sarita wrote: "It was really good! I liked it more than her last 3 books."

I haven't read her recent books. I enjoyed The Atonement Child, Redeeming Love, and the Mark of the Lion series, but those were all from quite a while back. This is the first book by her recently that has drawn my interest enough to read it. So glad I did!

message 27: by Staci (new)

Staci | 1071 comments Whew! Finished my horse novel just in time for the next category to be called. Super excited to see what will be called next!!

Brittany, I loved The Atonement Child, Redeeming Love, the Mark of the Lion series and The Masterpiece. I didn't love A Bridge to Haven.

message 28: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments Staci, looks like we have similar taste in her books!

You're welcome - there was actually a few good ones.

message 34: by Staci (new)

Staci | 1071 comments It's nice that we have so many options for this week's challenge! I am expecting The Weaver's Daughter soon. For now, that is my plan. I'll choose a different option if it doesn't arrive in the next couple of days.

The Weaver's Daughter by Sarah E. Ladd

On another note, horse and tree do not appear to have us working toward a bingo.

message 35: by Sarita (new)

Sarita | 1386 comments Yes, but then the game won't be over so soon :-)

My current book - Room for Hope by Kim Vogel Sawyer - I will use for the free space.

message 36: by Staci (new)

Staci | 1071 comments So agree Sarita!!! Let the game linger....

message 37: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Yeah, no hasty bingo here. More lasting fun. :)

I'm reading A Chance at Forever (Teaville Moral Society, #3) by Melissa Jagears , which does have a tree on the cover.

message 38: by Brittany (last edited Mar 15, 2018 11:39AM) (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments I plan to read Finding Evergreen (Grace Revealed #3) by Jennifer Rodewald , which works for tree or the letter F. :-)

message 46: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (dizzy_booknerd) | 249 comments Hey guys!! I apologize for being so slow - things have been crazy and I got kinda sidetracked with my reading, so I'm going to use my freebie for week 1/horse/standalone. I'm reading my tree book now and should finish soon. And for my free space book I'm going to read Beeline to Trouble (Queen Bee Mystery, #4) by Hannah Reed . :)

message 47: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments Nice to see you around...hope things slow down a bit for you soon, Dizzy!

message 48: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 1038 comments I used Her Texas Cowboy by Jill Lynn for my free space.

message 49: by Staci (new)

Staci | 1071 comments Hello Dizzy!

I've just posted my review for tree. 2.5 hours until the next category is called. I am so not patient...

message 50: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1527 comments I'm not patient either, Staci! :)
