Wade J. | 177 comments Bobby,

Please take a look at my Amazon page and see if any of these might be able to help you. They are scripture-based novels which have numerous book reviews and 1.5 minute book trailers. Please let me know if I can help:

David Pulliam | 63 comments Jack Miller’s letters, jonathan Edwards religious affections, Augustine’s confessions are some high impact books in my life

message 3: by Robert (last edited Mar 09, 2018 03:57AM) (new)

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments Anything that I have read (I have not read all their books) by...

A.W. Tozer
Leonard Ravenhill
David Wilkerson
T. Austin Sparks

Tozer's The Knowledge of the Holy is powerful (as is everything of his I have read)

I definitely would not put my books in the same class (or even near) as these, but if you are interested, here are some of them (they are more Bible study tools and not 'novel' type books)...

Melchisedec: A Character Study

Baptisms: One? Many? Or Both?

The Armor of God: Put it on, and Practice!

Whoa Wade... you have been busy! God bless!

Amen... that is another great book.

I heard David Ravenhill (Leonard's son) and he was very powerful as well. I believe he has some books available, but I have not read any of them yet.

message 6: by Adam (new)

Adam Meade | 24 comments I recently read "The Desire of Ages", by Ellen G White, and it was such a book. It elucidated the gospel and the life of Jesus with a depth and clarity that I've not seen in any other. The curator of religious texts for the Library of Congress considers it the best book ever written on the life of Christ and I can't disagree.

message 7: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments Bobby ... please know that Ellen G White is an Adventist and her theology strays from orthodox Christian theology. Google her.

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments Wade wrote: "Bobby ... please know that Ellen G White is an Adventist and her theology strays from orthodox Christian theology. Google her."

My response: I completely agree. Beware.

message 9: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments John Piper is solid on this theology. I like his 9 minute podcasts on various subjects.

message 10: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments Bobby ... I'll be praying for you, for sure. Please remember that Jesus will "spit" the lukewarm "believers" from his mouth. In everything that happens, we are either moving towards the Cross, or away from it. What is happening to you is likely God pulling you closer. There is nothing greater than for Jesus Christ to penetrate your heart and reveal to you just who He created you to be....

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments Bobby wrote: "Thak you. Wife said same thing. I think youre right. That helps a lot. Ill pray for you to man"

I will likewise add you to my prayer list.

One thing that helps me is, every time that I disagree with or don't like something the Bible says... I always take the approach that...

...the Bible is RIGHT...
...and I am WRONG...

That puts me in the correct mindset to learn from God.

message 12: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments Amen, Robert. Our walk in life is about de-throning ourselves and hitting our knees in humility for the King of kings, Jesus Christ.

AMEN... and... AMEN!

message 14: by Tom (new)

Tom Rothbauer | 36 comments Bobby, I hope that my new book is exactly that. It interweaves Scriptural passages from the Jewish Tanakh, Christian Bible, and Islamic Qur'an to show that God has given all of us the same Word. If this sounds interesting, you can preview parts of it at www.weshouldbeone.com or purchase it online.

message 15: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments The Qur'an does not come from God. It comes from the other guy who thinks he's God.

message 16: by Tom (new)

Tom Rothbauer | 36 comments Wade, thank you for your comment. We will discover the truth about that at our Judgment.

message 17: by Robert (new)

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments Tom wrote: "Wade, thank you for your comment. We will discover the truth about that at our Judgment."

The truth about that is already known !

Jesus is God.
Jesus is the Son of God.

message 18: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments The Qur'an claims that Jesus was not "God among us", but rather, a prophet. To not tell them the truth with a universalistic approach to faith is to hate them and keep them from the Truth, who is Jesus Christ. He is the only way.

AMEN!

Or is means that he is not in possession of the truth and therefore, unable to tell the truth to them.

message 20: by Tom (new)

Tom Rothbauer | 36 comments Isn't free will and free speech wonderful? Thank you God! May we all grow in our understanding of you and your Holy Word.

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments Tom wrote: "Isn't free will and free speech wonderful? Thank you God! May we all grow in our understanding of you and your Holy Word."

My response: My favorite speech to refer to is the Word of God... the Bible...

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me ."

Anyone that REJECTS the TRUE Jesus of the Bible... is NOT saved!

message 22: by G. (new)

G. Julian I agree with this; that's why I do not accept Jesus as on the same level as God. Jesus himself says, I and the Father are One, but then he says The Father is greater than me. In John 8th Chapter he establishes himself as God's servant. It is Paul who claimed that Jesus is God incarnate and his name higher than God's name. Paul is not an apostle. An apostle is one who was taught personally from God, not by hallucination. The Palm Leaf Sermon of Jesus proclaims God's name supreme. If Paul is wrong who is he ? He is a Jewish Spy who's mission is to establish El Shaddai & his law The Ten Commandments and Jehovah & his law The Laws of Moses are one and the same. Actually, this is totally false; most scholars agree that they are not the same. For instance: The Commandment is Thou Shalt Not Kill. The law of moses says, bring any member of your family to the elders of the tribe and we will kill them for you. El Shaddai is a vegetarian and champions democracy. He has a female consort. Jehovah has no female consort, for he hates women and declares they should be slaves for life. He is a fascist who champions slavery and genocide, the murder of refugees in war. Ask your conscience if God is a liar and a murderer ?

My response: God the Father calls Jesus the Son God! If God calls Jesus God... HE IS GOD !

Thomas and the apostles call Jesus God... If the apostles of Jesus call Him God... HE IS GOD !

The Apostle Peter calls the Apostle Paul a "beloved brother" (no true Christian calls a false apostle a "beloved brother").

Peter also calls Paul's epistles to be like the other Scriptures , equating Paul's writings with the Old Testament.

G. is CLUELESS as to what the Bible actually teaches.

message 24: by Wade (new)

Wade J. | 177 comments G isn't a Christian and shouldn't be on this string.

message 25: by Robert (new)

Robert Dallmann (robert_dallmann) | 1605 comments I suspected as much... Thanks Wade
