The Reading Challenge Group discussion

For us in the Northern hemisphere, its SUPPOSED to be the first day of spring (I have snow right now so...) and what better way to celebrate than springing into your next book, a new author or series?
For those in the Southern hemisphere, it's the first day of fall, with all the pretty leaves changing colors! A great way to celebrate is to fall back on an old favorite book, author or series!

This will run from today, the 20th of March to the 27th of March!
Have fun and let me know if you want any SNOW!

We usually read whatever books we feel like. Some of our members plan their reads, others just go with the flow.
My goal is to finish some of the books I have been reading for a while, since I generally have a few books on the go at once. Of course, that doesn't stop me from starting new books.

I'm in. Let's hope there's not too much snow. Snow days means more cooking and baking not so much reading.

I’m in! Hoping to at least finish Blindness, having a hard time getting into it (I’m at page 16, have been reading it for 3 days!)

I had the same situation with Blindness. The first time I tried reading it, I gave up on it. I tried again about a year later and finished the book this time. It is not an easy read but ultimately a rewarding read, even though it is grim at times.

Been binge reading all evening. I was sick over the weekend and suddenly have the energy I gained from so much sleep. Likely just to start the cycle over. Oh well. I’ll take the free reading time though.

I just finished Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. The stories were good but awkwardly written at times.

Had snow a fee days ago, but none currently on the ground where I live. Literally just finished Stardust (Neil Gaiman) and I’m now thinking of giving Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One a go ahead of the film. Never read his books before :)

Haha it snowed last night a little bit here, 2 hour delay lol, so I'm in.

As I’m under the weather, this is the perfect excuse to stay in bed and readathon away!

My first book is one that I had been reading for a while.

1. The Soul of Man Under Socialism, and Selected Critical Prose by Oscar Wilde

This is a book I read in 3 days because the writing and story drew me in.

2. The Grass Harp by Truman Capote

Book 3: The Empty House and Other Ghost Stories by Algernon Blackwood

These are weird and well-written ghost stories.

After seeing the movie, I read The Stone Raft and Death With Interruptions. I had mixed feelings about both books, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to bother with Blindness.

Almost done with What an insightful book! I'm also reading . Ha! Gotta keep the fiction and non-fiction going.

I read Norse Mythology, New Teen Titans 4, and a few volumes of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

I just finished a book I have been reading for a few weeks - The Collected Poems of W.B. Yeats.

And another book that I started at the beginning of the month - Manchild in the Promised Land by Claude Brown

I read The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins because it was on my TBR list for ages.

It is always satisfying to finish a book from the TBR list, especially a chunkster.

I just finished a short little book called La casa de papel by Carlos María Domínguez. It is a fable about a character who is completely obsessed with books.

I read Parliament of Rooks: Haunting Brontë Country - Karen Perkins. Not for me - I found it a weird mixture of modern chick lit, historical novel, & ghosts. I enjoyed the historical part, which appeared realistic & carefully researched.

Finished two books, R.U.R. by Karel Čapek and The Witness for the Prosecution and Other Stories by Agatha Christie.
