Pretty definitive response, Joseph! Surprised as I was to see this make the list? (Although I hate myself for judging a book before reading it)

I second the "no".
I admit I don't know a lot about this prize but it doesn't seem like Nicholas Sparks-like books should be nominated.
And I have no problem judging books before reading them ;)

Hodder & Stoughton publishers have confirmed the release is NOT being brought forward. It is still being released on the 30th September 2014.

I do want to read this. There must be something about this book for it to be longlisted right? And there will be museums and architecture and I love that :)

Just finished it. I will admit that this is not shortlist worthy. However, if you really look at the writing as a whole, it is something special.
