The Next Best Book Club discussion

Ok, So I decided to start this a little early.
I have a feeling next week might be too hectic for me to monitor this closely so here we go:

Please read the rules for nominating BEFORE you creat your post!!

We will have two catagories this month:
Cat1- Regular Fiction/Non-Fiction
Cat2- Required School Reading *

*If you choose to nominate a book for catagory 2, please nominate a book that you were forced to read in High School that you feel you will have a better appreciation for now that you have grown and matured into a book loving adult OR a book everyone else got assigned but you never had the chance to read!

Only ONE nomination per person.

Please be sure to post the title, author, and the catagory it belongs to.

If your post does not have those three things, it will not be counted.

I never did read this in school, just pretended... high time I got to it!!

OK - I'll go first. If I have it correct, Cat 2 is something I read but didn't appreciate, so:

Cat 2 - The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway

Lyn, yes, OR it could be something other people were assigned, but you never were!

I so pretended to read it at school hehe

Category 2- 1984 by George Orwell.

So I didn't like it then, but maybe given a chance, I'd like it now.

I didn't go to school in the US, so I'm not sure this book suited the Category 2 or not. But since I find a book on it at Spark Notes site, I assume it would.

So I nominate The Time Machine by H.G. Wells for Cat. 2.
