This challenge has a flexible start date.
Please remember to use the spoiler tags when it's appropriate. Some of the tasks are based on something that happens in the story. If you tell us why the book fits the task, it may reveal key information. For example:
~Rhododendron - what the dangerous situation is
~Peony - what the character is hiding
The primary sources for the symbolism and meaning of flowers are flowermeaning.com, proflowers.com and ftd.com
For Violet, here's a link to mysteries set during the 1800s

Q&A:
For the Azalea task, can I use a different book from the same series or only the one listed there?
You can read any book in a cozy series that is on the list. For this task, the book does have to be a cozy mystery. (Not all of the books listed on later pages are cozies and some are not mysteries. Check the book page for genre if you're not familiar with the series.)
Will a lake count as a coastal setting for Hydrangea?
Yes, it will count. A lake has a shore not a coast, but the idea is a book set near water.
Can't think what to read for a cozy with a doctor.
For peony, the MC doesn't have to be a doctor. There are cozy mysteries where the MC is an EMT or a nurse. Peony is a two part clue. You can also use a book where a character has a secret.
Can you reread a book for this challenge?
Yes as long as you re-read the whole book.

1) I found several series I could imagine to read but I'm either further in the series or not that far as the closest book on the list. Can I use a different book from the same series in such a case or only the one listed there?
2) My favorite book to read from this list is not a cozy (and you already mentioned that's fine if we read other genres) though as I understand the task it's to explore new or continue our great cozy mystery series and not other genres. Would it still be fine if I read A Diamond in the Rough a romantic mystery?
Agnieszka wrote: "I have two questions regarding the Azalea task (Best Cozy Mystery Series list)
1) I found several series I could imagine to read but I'm either further in the series or not that far as the closest..."
1) Yes - For the Azalea task, you can read any book in the series that is listed. For example, the list includes Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. You can read any book in the Hannah Swenson series. (There are 23 books in this series).
2) This task is to read a book in a cozy mystery series. The book does need to be a cozy for Azalea. Unfortunately, A Diamond in the Rough doesn't fit the criteria because it's not a cozy. I did find it at no. 800+ with one vote. Try to find a cozy on one of the earlier pages of the list to read.
Diamond.. may fit another task like Rhododendron (dangerous situation).
