Our group gave Davis' book a 4.25 out of 5 stars. Many seemed to enjoy the historical detail and fresh mystery plot. Personally I liked the connections the book drew between the Gilded Age in New York City and the 1980s in NYC through its depiction of two different characters in not so dissimilar situations.
