First of all, make yourself known,
Introduce Yourself - we're all friendly and no one bites.
Then you'll want to see what we're reading which is hidden away in the Books of the Months Folder Note that all previous book chat for each book going back decades, well years, is all still open at the very bottom of the group's home page. Want to see what we've read: Previous Group Reads master list You'll notice that we aren't adverse to rereading a book :)
While we're talking books, we all like to see what books everyone is reading on top of the group book so pop by and let us know. You'll find too many recommendations!
Each month we hold nominations for our group reads. These are opened on the first Saturday of the month and the poll is set up the following Saturday. Each member has one nomination, with a maximum of 15 nominations taken. The nomination thread lists the group's rules so please read those and ask if you need any help. Please note that we don't read Graphic novels, light novels or manga as our group book. It must be a readily available English edition available across a range of countries. This is also based in the Group Business folder.
The Group holds many different challenges which you are most welcome to join. We have challenges based on genre, authors, the alphabet and trying to read the group's bookshelf. These can be joined at any time, they have no time limit and you can adapt it to your needs. You will find folder for these on the home page.
Do go and explore and join in with chatting on the various threads. We encourage debate but remember to keep it polite.
Finally, we love authors! Many authors are in the group, a few are held hostage but we won't get into that here. Please remember that we are all here primarily as readers; please keep promotions in the relevant threads.
