What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi all. I hope you could help me, because I'm getting crazy. First of all, please forgive my english, i guess it's very rusty. I'm looking for a book I've got when I was a boy (around 20/22 years ago). I remember (but i could be wrong) it was similar to R.L. Stine's Goosebumps, but wasn't one of them. What i remember about the plot is a child/boy whose father bought an ancient armor. The armor used to come back to life by night 'cause of a curse. There was also an old and cruel magician. I don't remember other else. Could you please help me? I'm very grateful to everyone ^^
