Finished! (Review)
I think the story had a few morals, but the main one I picked up was prejudice. The book really digs into how we separate people. The mages and the commoners and the Procuses have clear lines drawn between them in this society, and Ariella is working to change that.

I can definitely see that. I think I just really enjoyed the unique world building and cute story. It was a different take on Cinderella. I loved how the relationships were twisted around and there was so much love between Cinderella and her step-family. The book definitely left me hungry for more of the world. For an indie debut, I thought it was a great start. I was kind of...almost disappointed in the second book, but I think that was more because of the pacing of the story than anything else. I think the author has room to grow and deepen her stories, but I still absolutely loved this book!
