Anna was seeing two men at the time of her death, Nelson and Gilbert Giddings. Why was Nelson accused and not Gilbert?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I can't remember exactly, but wasn't the fact she was seeing Gilbert only discovered later? In this case, Nelson was the most convenient suspect for the police.

He busted into the house the next day! I never could quite figure out who fingered Nelson given the circumstances.

With no one to offer cash in this case I can see the police not bothering to look beyond the first potential suspect. And if Nelson was the one who was with Anna last...
