Sarah appeals to her father to help save Nelson’s job and her relationship with both her parents seem much better. What’s changed and did you think her parents would have helped if they didn’t have matchmaking in mind?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I would like to think they would help regardless of their matchmaking attempts. They both seem to want to mend their relationship with Sarah.

I’m sure her mother would but her father needs motivation. He’d just be kinder at saying no:)

I think Sarah being less angry and combative gave everyone space to find middle ground. It’s a good lesson and example. You may own the moral high ground but unless you find a way to communicate, you won’t get anywhere in making change.

Very true!

I have to say, that as fun as the mysteries are, it's all these little side stories that really hooked me, i.e. Frank and Brian, Sarah and her parents, and, of course, Sarah and Frank.

They work for me, too, Veronica!

That's a good point Jonetta. I'm glad they're slowly mending their relationship

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments That Sarah asked for help at all was a plus; that her parents found ways to justify saying yes was to be expected, I think. I wonder if the banker's son will be featured trying to get Sarah out on a date in future book. It looked as if she was agreeing to it, but perhaps she doesn't have to wait for Frank to voice his own observations to make her own decision there.
