What were your initial impressions of Richard Dennis, the president of Nelson’s bank? Did they change after he accused Nelson of embezzlement?

Phrynne | 607 comments I instantly disliked him and I actually thought he had taken the money himself and was using Nelson as a scapegoat.

I was okay with him at first (putting aside my feelings for Frank in competition) and thought him a nice guy. But then when he accused Nelson of stealing money and I knew it wasn’t true, he became pond scum.

I’m not certain he didn’t take the money to take advantage of the situation.

Phrynne | 607 comments It did seem that that was hinted at.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I didn't really like him from the start probably because of the matchmaking, but this was reinforced when he accused Nelson.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I didn't care for him from the start, and I admit that's mostly because I'm firmly rooting for Frank, but then he accused Nelson of embezzlement and that sealed it. Too bad Mrs. Ellsworth couldn't take her frying pan to him.

Ha! If she’d only known.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I liked him at first. He seemed like a nice guy that was interested in possibly dating Sarah in the future. Though I'm definitely rooting for Frank, I thought that if Sarah dated Richard Dennis, Frank might decide to make a move on her.

As soon as Richard accused Nelson of stealing money, I kicked him to the curb. I figured the whole story was made up for Sarah's benefit so he wouldn't have to retain Nelson at the bank.

Yeah, that was my turning point, too.

Sarah’s definitely into Frank but I agree with you, Robin, that another suitor might spur him into action.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I agree with you all. I was just glad that another of the rich guys wasn't the murderer. That would have been one too much past the recent Coney Island situation.
