We get a chance to see the Tombs when Sarah goes to visit Mrs. Giddings. Was it what you’d envisioned?

I did, too!!! I imagined it as some dark and dank place, never suspecting the building was above ground. Embarrassingly, I even lived in New York City for two years.

It shows how easy it is for words to evoke connotations and create images that don't reflect reality.
