Frank kisses Sarah and then plans to leverage the effects of the opium poisoning to pretend it never happened. Did it work?

Phrynne | 607 comments I don't know if it worked but I loved that bit. At last Frank doing something active and strong!

Finally! That one moment changes everything. Instead of them continuing to do these mental dances about what they’re “maybe” feeing, they now know what they’re feeling. Can’t go back.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Frank is going to have to pretend very hard, lol!

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments The important bit for me was that Sarah wanted him to do it again.

Yes!

~ Giulia ~ | 193 comments I loved that scene, and Sarah's reaction "I want him to do it again. Should I run after him? Nah, he'll definitely come back eventually."
They really can't go back now.

The situation was somewhat reminiscent of that time at the amusement park with the creeper from book 2 (they alone in the dark, the unexpected kiss) yet at the same time everything couldn't have felt more different.

I agree, Giulia, they cannot go back. They’ll have setbacks for sure (after all, it IS Frank and Sarah) but this relationship is moving forward.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I loved the kiss and Sarah's reaction. I can't wait until Sarah brings up the fact that she remembers everything.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Agreed, Robin.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments It was well written for sure. Both of them realize a relationship would never work because of their "stations" in life. Even though her being a midwife and him a police officer they should be pretty equal her background is preventing them from really accepting the possibility. With the opium poisoning it did give Frank an opening and I'm so glad he took it. I love the pacing of their romance. It works really well for this series.
