Greg | 201 comments Finished reading the awesome The Screaming Staircase, the first in the Lockwood & Co. series, earlier today. I will definitely be following this series!

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) | 123 comments I'm still on Crossroads of Twilight, which I started at the end of March, and I'm making another attempt reading The Thirteen Hallows. It's co-authored by Michael Scott and I really loved his Nicholas Flamel series, but this book is nowhere near as good IMO; whether that's due to his writing partner or him trying to write too obviously for adults, I'm not sure.

I adore that series, and books 3 and 4 actually rate among my all-time favorite books. I want to reread them just thinking about them. 😀

That's great to hear that the third and fourth books are particularly good! I'll look forward to reading them. :)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments I did it again. Started The Core, realized I didn't remember anything, tried to look for some recaps to refresh my memory... Decided to do a series re-read instead.

So now I'm reading The Warded Man. At least this will be my last re-read since The Core is the final book!

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments Listening to Grey Sister on audiobook, which seems to be the only method I can read at all lately.

message 6: by colleen the convivial curmudgeon, Not a book hipster! (new)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I'm reading A Conjuring of Light, which I'm so far enjoying much better than the overlong-for-no-reason middle book of the trilogy.

And for my gym read I'm reading The Black Prism which I'm pretty meh about so far.

message 7: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, Bad Girls Deadlift (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I'm currently trudging through my TBR list. I finished a very non-funny Rom-Com last night and DNF'd a gross one.

I have Artemis on audio but so far, totally uninterested. Weir started The Martian with an accident, too, but then we got to the good stuff asap. This...isn't interesting so far.

message 8: by Greg (new)

Greg | 201 comments Finished reading Annihilation which I really liked. Looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

message 9: by Michelle (last edited Apr 16, 2018 08:28AM) (new)

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) | 123 comments Currently reading Stormcaster (Shattered Realms, #3), Blood of Elves (The Witcher, #3), Crossroads of Twilight (Wheel of Time, #10) and The Secret History of Elizabeth Tudor, Vampire Slayer. I'm loving Stormcaster and hating The Secret History of Elizabeth Tudor, with the other two falling in between. I actually loved Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter (the book, not the movie), so believe me when I say the Elizabeth Tudor version is bad. :(

message 10: by Greg (new)

Greg | 201 comments Two other books I read in April were the graphic novel, Batman: Year One, and a novelette, Unlocked: An Oral History of Haden's Syndrome - both three-star reads for me.
