The killer dispatched Butch to Chicago to find Shane. When Butch questions Kyle, he figures out Kyle has a connection to Shane, which ultimately leads to Kyle’s girlfriend Tiffany’s death, along with her mother. Could Kyle have done anything differently? Will he later resent Shane for what happened?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I suppose it might have occurred to Kyle to warn Tiffany, but I was with him thinking that Butch would be trying to find Shane. He had no idea how thorough these revenge-types would be.

It still occurred to me that Kyle will come to resent Shane. Emotions are not always ruled by reason.

I can’t see how Kyle could have done anything differently. But, I do think he may eventually feel resentment towards Shane. It’s human nature.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments Agree. Because Kyle was a decent human and went the extra mile for his friend, Shane, Tiffany and her mother died. I see guilt and resentment for him to work through in his future.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 52 comments At this point, I don't think Kyle or Shane realised what they were getting into. Both were being supportive friends and it totally unraveled from there. Kyle didn't mean to drag his friend into the horrible situation but I guess down the track Shane would be thinking why did he get involved. It's probably human nature to think that way. But realistically it's the perpetrators fault and they were just evil people.
