I don’t even know if it’s a good idea or not, but I was writing my epilogue and I was loving it. It’s so sexy and cute and funny and I was like; *grinning* my readers are going to love this shit *grinning*.
(I have no readers. I think the flu medicine is making me delirious.)
And then I started a new page in Word and began typing in my Newsletter info and adding text where I plan to beg people to sign up.. and then I thought.. HEEEEYY.
Do you know that moment when you finish a GOOD book and you’re just dying to read more about the characters?
Take me for example. When I finished “Tangled” I immediately went online to see if there was a book 2, a free story, a paragraph on the Facebook page of the author, anything I could get my grubby little hands on. There wasn’t.
So I thought, why not exploit that hunger readers have to read more about the characters they just fell in love with?
So I decided to write something along the lines of ... Do you want to know what happens after “The end”? SIGN UP NOW VIA THIS LINK FOR MY NEWSLETTER AND GET IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THE EPILOGUE. I don’t see any problem with that. Those that loved it will jump at it. Those that didn’t just won’t. I think the only reason I haven’t thought about putting a “sign up to my newsletter” thing in is I haven’t a clue how to do it. (I got the mailing list after using instafreebie) I say go for it but I hope someone who knows more adds their input.
