Mikan and Ching's dorm in Marauders House. None may enter without their permission.

The room is the size of two bedrooms conjoined and has two sides. Each side has a bed, a desk with a chair, a closet and dresser, and a bedside table. There is a bathroom on the side.

Mikan still felt at fault for what happened to Gwen and Coral; obviously not knowing of their falling-out yet but thinking more about how they all got in trouble. Mikan felt her militaristic honor and obedience starting to resurge and wanted to do something more about it. She'd just have to work extra hard at her community service. She looked over at the other side of her room, still as bare as it was when she arrived; a small bag placed on the bed but that was it. She wanted to reach out and make some more friends, starting with her roommate, but how was she ever to do that if she was never in her room? Maybe Mikan should start wandering around the school again, maybe they'd run into each other then. Yeah, it'd be perfect! Never mind all the obvious issues with it, once Mikan set her mind on something, the possible issues weren't ever thought about.

Ching didn't know what to do. She couldn't find any information on waterbending nor any waterbenders. SHe must really have been the first person from the human world to be in this place. She couldn't contract the spirits and Korra wasn't going to teach her herself. What was she to do?

She stomped on the way back to her dorm and almost kicked it down before seeing it was open. Ching thought maybe she left it open when she left but couldn't remember. Either way the young Earthbender sat on her bed and tried to meditate once more. Maybe if Ching tried really hard, a spirit would come!

Mikan was sitting on her bed at the moment, posed in a weird way since she was in the middle of trying to untie her boots while holding them up in the air to concentrate better. She looked over at the noise and brightened somewhat, smiling. "Hello there! You must be Ching if you're in my room. A pleasure to meet you!"

Ching didn't move from her position, not even to nod. "Yes, I am Avatar Ching," she said flatly.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Mikan Hiiragi!" She continued untying her boots. "Let me finish untying my boots then I'll greet you more properly,"

Chihng didn't respond. Her face seemed more tense, as did the rest of her body. She was barefoot and didn't appear to have taken any shoes off as she came in.

"Uh, hello? Are you alright?" She asked worriedly, not realizing what she was doing at first. She froze in her pose, her hands still on her bootstrings.

"I am not alright," the Avatar declared. "That is why I am reaching out into the universe. To the spirits and my past lives."

"Ohhhhhh...." Mikan nodded as if she understood completely. "Your inner spirit huh? Like my demon in my bow!"

Ching's face drooped. "Your...what?"

"My bow demon! She's very nice but she sounds scary when she talks sometimes. If I don't catch up with her she might possess me!" Mikan explained calmly. "It happened to Papa when he was young and it was evidently very scary,"

Ching shook her head. "Sorry...I don't know what you mean about a...demon." Was that some kind of spirit. "Now please...I'm trying to reach into the Spirit World..."

"Okay," Mikan nodded in understanding and went back to untying her boots. "I won't disturb you then! We can talk when you're done!"

Ching wrinkled her nose. "That could be a long time..sometimes the Avatar can spend days in the Spirit World." Of course, she hadn't once been able to but she wasn't going to tell this girl that.

"That's okay! Sometimes I spend a long time talking to my demon too. My record is a day and a half!" Mikan smiled and tilted her head slightly. "I don't mind,"

Ching didn't respond, trying to hard too focus. After a few minutes, she stopped and let out a loud sigh. "Why can't I do it?! I don't understand what's wrong."

Mikan almost jumped, knocking her boots over. "You can't do what? What's wrong?!"

Ching shook her head. "I'm sorry..it's not something you can really help with." She stood up and began breathing slowly, rubbing her hands along her body. "I just need to center myself."

"Are you sure?" Mikan stepped a bit closer to her. "I mean, I mediate and go into my own world a lot. Maybe I could find some way to help center you,"

"I don't mean a world figuratively...I'm talking about the actual spirit world." She flopped onto her bed. "For whatever reason I can't reach it. I don't know why."

"I know what you meant..." Mikan sighed a bit. "I still think I could help,"

Ching studied the girl. "YOu don't...look like you're from around where I'm from. Are you sure?"

"I'm sure," She tried to reassure her.

Ching puffed her cheeks. "WHat makes you so sure exactly?"

"Because I've done stuff like this before," Mikan explained. "You can not believe me all you want but that doesn't make it any less true,"

"Are you a waterbender?" she asked bluntly.

"What?!" Mikan asked, widening her eyes. "No way! I'm a regular soldier!"

((How would she know what that means :P))

Ching sighed. "Then you can't possibly help me.."

((She's assuming they can bend water by the name, and even if she didn't know it's still incorrect. she's got her father's simple mind, she doesn't question things :P))

"But...I still want to," She said firmly. "You seem like a nice person and I'd like for us to be friends!"

"I mean...I like to think I'm a nice person but..I haven't exactly bene nice to you," her shoulders drooped. "I've been taking my anger out on you."

"It's not something you could really control. You were frustrated, it makes sense," Mikan said. "I keep trying to help you out,"

"Unfortunately you can't really help unless you know a waterbending master. I have to learn it to complete my training."

"Oh....um....I don't," She finally admitted awkwardly. "I'm really sorry,"

Ching's shoulders drooped. "It's fine." Of course it wasn't actually fine but she wasn't about to get mad at Mikan over it.

Mikan just pouted. She always felt really bad when someone was upset. "...Do you like playing pranks on people?" She finally asked, thinking maybe some harmless mischief will cheer her up.

"Indont really do pranks," she admitted. "But maybe something to clear my head would help. This negative energy is disturbing the balance inside of me "

"Great!" She clasped her hands together. "That's the most important thing to have before you mediate. Otherwise you lose your focus and in my case, it makes it easier for my demon to take control!"

"Wait...what does that mean?" Ching narrowed her eyes. "And what is this...demon you keep talking about?"

"The demon in my bow, she makes it so I can be really powerful. I meditate to talk to her but if I do it wrong I risk being possessed," She explained before waving her hands. "It's nothing bad or scary!"

"You get possessed?" Ching echoed. She began shaking. "I've seen what possession does to people ...it's..." She grabbed her head. "We have to calm the angry spirit. Too bad I dont know the ritual.."

"No no no it's fine!" She started waving her hands around again. "I don't even have my bow with me right now!"

"I suppose you wouldn't need it here..."

"It's in the weapon training room I think," Mikan reassured her. "I didn't have a place to hang it up here,"

"Oh, I meant I didn't think you'd need a weapon in this place at all. Which I suppose wouldn't matter for me or magic users."

"I mean, I suppose I don't, but..I came here with my weapon, so why would I just toss it away like that?" Mikan blinked.

"I didn't say you would," Ching shrugged. "I just meant this place seems pretty peaceful."

"Exactly! That's why I like it! So much better than my old world," She nodded. "Even though I really do miss my parents, and my brother and sister too,"

"Then why did you come here?" Ching tilted her head. "Or did you not know you'd miss them this much?"
