Hanne, now that we've completed Before We Were Strangers, what are we going to read next? Although, I didn't love Before We Were Strangers, I feel like it woke me up. So, thank you for that. Maybe you should pick the next read...

I was trying to say that I'm glad that this post wasn't as old as your post in the April thread. Your post here was more recent.

Yep. Friday works for me. Hanne...I'm nervous. I read Archer's voice and it had me on an emotional roller coaster, but it was soooooo good.

I enjoy all your posts. I really enjoy our discussion of the books we've read together :)

An emotional roller coaster is every book by Mia Sheridan.. I agree, Archer's Voice is soooo good! I can't wait to start Grayson's Vow. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that you love it ;)

Me too. I probably won't be able to start until LATE tonight. I'm still at work and plan to be here for a few more hours.

Just a heads up...I'll probably read this one slow because my free time is restricted at the moment. I think the previous books, we blasted through in a couple of days. This one may take me a week. My goal is at least 2-3 chapters a day. That's how crazy my work is right now.

That's no fun :( Work must be very crazy that you can only read that many chapters.. I hope you still find enough free time!

Chapter 1 - 5

(view spoiler)[ I already like Kira. She's feisty, determined and sacrastic. But she's also lonely and a little lost. I feel her desperation.. She has no money left. I'm wondering why that is after I learned that her father is super rich. Her dad has clearly done something bad, because Kira doesn't want anything to do with me. I'm also super curious about what her dad did to Grayson that she wants to help him now. I am already afraid of the moment when Grayson will discover this lol. And what about her ex? I think he cheated on her..

Grayson works very hard and tries to make his winery great again. He has a past. I don't think what Kira told is the whole story.. I'm sure Kira is going to make his life more joyful

I like Virgil. He's so honest and happy

Fake marriage in a romance book, I love it!! I love it when that becomes a real one

Chapter 6-10
(view spoiler)[I'm happy that the author described a little of their wedding, but didn't make it romantic. It's not a wedding they want. Kira always imagined another wedding, but she's not in love with him. It was not cool of Grayson to go out with Jade the evening of their wedding day. I'm so happy that he didn't sleep with her!

It looks like Kira hates being bored lol. She can be a little wild. I'm glad she gets along with everyone (but Walter) on the vineyard

Their first real kiss ends with Kira running away, but Grayson goes to her. He wants her. But I get his confusion before. He is attracted, but they have an end date.

Kira made their first date better. People like to gossip there. I felt bad for Grayson. The woman you want to marry, marries your brother, that must be painful! I also now think that Kira's ex hit her..

The audiobook has two narrators. male and female. It's really good so far! But I'm not sure what chapter I'm on. I think I made it to 6, but I'll have to wait until they switch narrators again to be sure. Then I'll read the spoilers. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

It appears that Grayson has severely misjudged Kira (i'm not reading it, so I'm not sure about spellings).

Oh and I love their nicknames for each other! So adorable! I didn't like how Grayson walked into Kira's 'space' while she was naked. Very rude! And his comments to her are soooo mean sometimes. I can't wait until he has to eat his words. I hope his groveling is good.

That's the spelling ;) He indeed misjudged her, but it was what he found on the internet without talking to her so I understood.

Chapter 11 - 15
(view spoiler)[I'm loving Grayson's Vow. Kira and Grayson are growing closer to each other. They told each other about their past and what has hurt them. I was double right about Kira's ex. It's maybe a little odd she didn't discover it sooner, but she was at college and he worked..

I'm not a fan a her father. How can you act like that towards your daughter? I understand why Kira wants nothing to do with him. I was so glad that Grayson was there to protect her at the house and listen to her at the hotel. I still don't know what her dad did to Grayson, but maybe something with his trial?

Grayson's childhood was far from perfect. His dad was also not father of the year.. I loved it that Kira got him a dog and that name.. So cute and funny! Grayson tries to rename her, but she only listens to Sugie Sug lol

Charlotte is such a kind, loving and wise woman! I'm glad Grayson has always had her.

Yes...same for me too. Kira is feisty. I like how Sheridan narrates her hair coming loose and parallels it to Kira's personality.

I also wonder what role kira's dad played in Grayson's life. Im nervous about how this is going to play out later on.

I like Virgil too. Im glad Grayson hired him. Although, I think Charlotte would have made him anyway LOL. Charlotte is a great character!

My goal was 2 -3 chapters a day, but i stayed up late last night because I couldn't put it down.

Chapter 8

OMGosh Hanne. I can't believe Grayson. The day he got married he decline Kira's dinner offer and went to jade's place. He's digging a big hole for himself. Sheridan is going to have to make him grovel real good

Chapter 16-20
(view spoiler)[Shane and Vanessa could not have come at a worser time. Grayson was happy and did something crazy. Grayson immediately changed. I wouldn't be happy to see someone who stole my ex. Shane wasn't so bad in the end. Grayson became jealous and said something he shouldn't have said. I understand why Kira ran away. I loved what Grayson did at the party! He dressed as a dragon and she as a witch!! I so hoped that would happen lol

I'm so happy that they are finally together! Grayson told her dad no. Grayson really wants Kira. I still have 5 chapters left and I think something bad is going to happen. I think her dad will cause trouble. The reason why Grayson is in jail was clearly an accident and something weird happened at his trail, so I think Kira's dad had something to do with that..

Hanne! I don't know where to start. I just finished reading all of your comments and agree with all of them, but I don't know where to begin...I'll start with the dog

I liked the name too. I also liked how she wasn't a perfect looking dog, but she still helped to heal Grayson.

Grayson's childhood was appalling. How can one person endure so much rejection? A child doesn't deserve that. I found it very sad that he wasn't really accepted by anyone.

But I still have mixed feelings about the way Shane and Vanessa got married. That is the major reason for the one star decrease. They wait until Grayson is in jail and then tell him after it happens. This is a man who has been reject all of his life and still went out of his way to shield his brother. I think Vanessa and Shane should have ended up married, but not like that. I think that was a selfish move on their part.

What did you think about the intimacy scenes?

Yeah, it's not a perfect dog and she helped Grayson heal. He's so sweet with her and accepted her.

I understand what you mean about Shane and Vanessa. It was so sudden and rude and indeed selfish. He did anything for his brother to protect him and then his brother did that to him.. But it didn't bother me all that much, since it are just secondary characters and I liked them when Kira talked to them.

The intimacy scenes.. They were good? I do remember that there weren't much, but that was understandable since they weren't really togheter a lot. Was there something special about it that you mention it?

What do you think about the epilogue?

OMGosh the epilogue was adorable!!! I wish Mia would have made it longer. I wanted to keep reading. Those two little girls were so adorable! And she was pregnant again. My only problem with the epilogue is that I wanted more!

Intimacy scenes - they were okay. I found that I felt the same way about Archer's voice. However, the difference was that Archer was a virgin which was a nice mix up from the usual sex plots and it made it sweet. I like that the two stories that I read by Mia are more than just sex, but when the characters finally get around to it, I wish Mia was a better writer in this area. But it's not a big deal.

Yessss. The epilogue was so adorable. I also wanted it to be longer, but it was still a great look in their future with them being parents.

I agree about what you said about the intimacy scenes. The stories by this author are indeed more than just sex. The focus is more on emotions, and then I don't want sex scene after sex scene. As long as it aren't fade to black scenes, I'm happy lol.

Did Grayson do enough groveling for you?

LOL...not at first he didn't. But that last grovel scene with him sitting outside in the rain and then he asked himself - "what would Kira do?" Soooo cute! I melted.

What was your favorite part or scene in the book?

He always did the right/cute thing to make it right, like him being dressed as a dragon. He did enough groveling for me.

There were many beautiful and emotional moments in Grayson's Vow. I really loved the party with him dressed as a dragon and her dressed as a witch, like their nicknames. The epilogue was the perfect ending of their story and I really loved that too, seeing Grayson with his family and he made the winery successful.

hmm...I think my favorite scene was him sliding down the banister, racing Kira. I wish his brother and ex-fiance hadn't walked in at the moment. But that was my favorite scene because it felt like he was turning a corner and allowing himself to be free.

I also liked the costumes. Even though Kira dressed as a witch, the narration of her dress sounded beautiful. I liked the nicknames, so the costumes were a perfect touch. ANNNND...neither one new the other was going to dress as their nickname which made it so much more sweet.

That was the worst moment for them to walk in. Grayson was finally genuinely happy and they ruined it. That moment was definitely memorable!

Chapter 1 - 6
(view spoiler)[I read one chapter more than our usual 5, because I'm enjoying. Those chapters are a good start.

I love a book where a main character works at or owns a book store or library. Just because that usually means we love the same thing: books! That was the reason why I wanted to read this novel. I'm jealous of Jane's bookstore. She has so many different books and even signes ones :o

I like Jane. I felt for her when Dan wanted her sister. Dan is the man of her dreams and she wanted a chance with him.. I think Caleb will make it better. Caleb, the man with a cowboy hat in NY, such an odd imagine lol. I loved what Caleb thought while Jane was talking to her sister at dinner. He also can't forget about het picture with the HP pjamas.

I'm very curious about how Caleb and Jane will end up falling in love, but they are so different and I don't think they have romantic feelings so far. I would have loved to feel more romance.. I'm also curious about how Caleb will convince Jane to go camping with him and what Caleb does around Christmas.
