Spring is here and it is the inspiration for this 3-month reading
challenge. Please try to use 50% Harlequin titles as we are a group of Harlequin readers. :)

Duration: April-June 2018
3-part challenge but you are welcome to only pick 2.

1. Earth Day - Did you attend an event? Did you plant something? Do you wish you did something? Tell us and read the word!
ex: My husband started some seeds for a window herb garden and some green bean plants for next to the porch. So I could pick the word Sow and read 3 books.

2. Spring Cleaning - It is a necessary evil, LOL, but it sure does make your home smell wonderful. Tell us a story or share which chore you hate the most/least and read that word!
ex: When my dad still lived on his own, every year I would go spring clean his house. He insisted I swept or vacuumed his ceilings. I could pick the word Ceiling and read 7 books for part 2.

3. Spring Project - It is good to set goals.
Ex: I have a few for the next couple of months. As some of you may remember, we've been working on extending our porch. It didn't go as planned last year due to health issues so it is on the top of our list. Porch would be my 3rd word to read! Or, this year I plan on making organization a key goal to my cleaning. I want to go through every junk drawer, closet, nook and cranny and get rid of the clutter. So, I might pick Clutter or Toss as my words.

If you have any questions, just ask!

Pam | 163 comments I will choose an Earth day event. The Environmental Awareness club I sponsor runs an Earth day conservation week. They run slide shows every where in school on recycling, composting, water conservation and the newest one is..
"I DON'T SUCK" I would also like everyone to join and to promote the I don't suck campaign. It has to do with plastic straws. So many plastic straws are used daily and never recycled. In the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans then there are fish... Oysters, clams, and many other bivalve animals have been found to have large amounts of plastics in them now. We are eating the plastic in small amounts each time we eat something from the oceans, seas or even our rivers How very sad!! Please watch some of the celebrities videos on the I DON'T SUCK campaign some are funny, Oh and I carry a straw with me I take home and wash so it is reused (a loopy silly straw).

I was doing my part when my daughter was little and didn't even know it! LOL She loved the silly loopy straws and I would reuse them rather than get a straw when we were out. I rarely drink from a straw and after watching the video, it will be even less often now. My daughter was a member of 4-H and Girl Scouts and both organizations are big on reuse, repurpose, and recycle. She won a couple of blue ribbons for recycle projects. ~ Kim

Pam | 163 comments That is so awesome. Tell your daughter we greatly appreciate the great work they are doing. We are constructing a greenhouse from recycled 2-liter bottles. We have one wall built made from the 2-liter bottles and it is turning out much better than I thought it would. It just takes over 1500 bottles. We ran out of bottles we collected after one wall, we thought we has so many. LOL.
