This is interesting to pick up right after Every Heart a Doorway... this is basically Ilona Andrews' take on Narnia realms...

Starting tomorrow.

The Edge = that middle area between The Magic (Narnia realms) and The Broken (Earth)

I'm not reading this with you guys but just stopping in to say I loved this book.

Just started. Going to Walmart. Are the boys hers?

With all the minds in the gutter in other threads lately, it's leaked into this book... (view spoiler)[When Jack and George talk about Declan's Sword it's innocent... when Rose or Grandma do, it's dirty sounding... :P (hide spoiler)]

I'd forgotten quite a lot of details from this book, but some things came back to me just before they happened... if I remember correctly, the 2nd book focuses on (view spoiler)[William and the woman he finds to love... (hide spoiler)]

This book/series is much tamer than Hidden Legacy...

Already at 22%. Love how these pages turn.

The second challenge was emotional.

Chapter 7 (view spoiler)[Those "dogs" are evil and obviously being sent by someone. At least I don't think it's random. (hide spoiler)] Wonder if that will be resolved by the end of the book or if it will carry to book two.

Each book is relatively self-contained and focuses on a different couple... the series explores more of the Edge and the Weird with each book...

I like audio books but don't burn through them very fast. I almost always have one going in tandem with a "regular" reading book. They average around 3 weeks to complete for me.

I ended up going out of town this weekend and it cut into my reading time.

Interesting that their world isn't friendly to shape shifters. The kids are adorable so I'm glad Jack's been reasonably protected from this prejudice so far.

I'd do a read of Innkeeper Chronicles. I only read the first book so I'd be in for book 2.

I'd be up for a reread after finishing off the Edge series.
