Jane and Thomas Moore seemed to have repaired their relationship and we gain more insight about them from her point of view. What is she getting from the relationship? How is it helping her? Hindering her, if at all?

I think she is getting advice from him because she trusts him as he shows respect for her. I can't see any hindering.

He seems to be the first person, let alone man, who treated her professionally and genuinely respected her opinion. On a really small level, she’s even developed some personal feelings for him...not romantically but affectionately. The only downside is he has the ability to unknowingly hurt her like he did when he started seeing Catherine. I don’t think Jane knew at the time that jealousy was a factor. Even with that, her relationship with Thomas is a healthy one with more benefits to her psyche.
