I have just read an interview of English translator Michael Lucey * which I'd like to share with you today.

Carolyne who's been reading the book in French said in a previous post she wondered how such expressions as 'les durs' were translated.
Did you find its equivalent in the English version?
In this piece, Michael Lucey gives the reasons of his choice for the *English title* (he said 'pour en finir avec' would be 'finish off' and is not right in English but I don't totally agree with him because pour 'en finir avec' may also imply something else in French, have a figurative meaning, which is more about closing a chapter of one's life. Were you satisfied with the English title 'The End of Eddy'?
