Hi folks,
I have been tidying up folders and threads.
As we have some threads started by members no longer active, I archived the older topics which were not in use.
Should anyone wish to discuss an archived topic or book, they just need to start a new thread.
Older book read discussions are at the bottom of the folder shelf now, so current events are at the top.
I hope this makes it easier for everyone to find topics and chat about them.
If anyone has a query you are welcome to ask me or another Moderator.

I have started a few threads on the Organic Chat folder, because we should have book recommendations and personal observations on organic foods and goods.
Please add!

A site from which I used to get a lot of useful information about organic foods etc. has shut up shop with regard to articles. Unfortunately this means any links placed here for Care2.com now go nowhere.

With this in mind, I suggest that if you place a link here to any site other than an official news site, that you try to back it up with a news site link. Or if you use a blog which sourced an article from Nature or Phys.org, maybe you could go a step further and link to the original posting as well.

I decided it's best to mention that Goodreads is no longer sending messages by e-mail to say that a thread has a new contribution. Similarly, it is no longer sending an e-mailed Group broadcast from a Mod - for instance, to say a challenge, poll, monthly book read etc. has started.
Members don't know about the change and will have to come to their profile or group pages to check for messages.
Messages will be notified on top of the member profile page, either in the bell icon on the right, or in the speech bubbles next to it, which are for Group threads.
Group broadcasts are so far showing up in my mail box with the picture of an envelope.
Group Mods have not been asking for these changes, and there is a chance it will reduce participation. Please do continue to enjoy your Groups.
