Three Men in a Boat
question
what does it owe to The Wind in the Willows ?

Recently have read both of these books - just coincidentally, not on purpose - but noted so many similarities that I couldn't ignore them. Does anyone else out there feel the same?

Your title question should be the other way round as Three Men was published about 20 years before Wind in the Willows.
I must say apart from the river setting, friendship and humorous escapades I don't see much in common and the latter 2 are so common that it doesn't mean much. However, it has been a few years since I read Wind in the Willows.
What similarities have you found?
