Les and I were just talking about Jim Harrison last week, on a trail in the woods of Ontario. I've only read his fiction, and Les only his poetry. Anyway, JPO posted this on FB this morning, and I figured it was a sign that I should start a Jim Harrison thread.

JIM HARRISON: WHAT I'VE LEARNED

Les (lthmpls) | 116 comments Thanks, Patty! I love this. One of the things I mentioned was that I love the idea of Jim Harrison. I think some of what he wrote in "What I've Learned" comes through in his poetry, but he kind of exudes all of that. That is how I think of the guy when I talk about loving the idea of him. That is why it pains me to not have read anything other than his poetry. I did get a couple of his books while at Canadork. Between that and loving my trip through Michigan though I will go about rectifying this.

Thanks for posting this, Patty. I look forward to others' knowledge of uncle Jim ( I will claim him as much as I can claim George Harrison).
