Detours: B, another E
START: a book that will make you laugh
Gonna go with The Humans by Matt Haig.
A: A feel good book
I wasn't planning on doing this challenge but The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is so enjoyable I think this will fit perfectly.
Detour - B. Ownvoices Mental Illness
I hope this qualifies (there is definitely trauma and overeating, but the mental illness part is not explicitly stated): Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay
E. Roadtrip.
Not the usual road trip, but it involved horses and carriage so it counts, right? :D
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Sequel Siege and Storm has a long voyage on a ship also.
G. Book that has been made into a movie
I finished a reread of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on the 17th of June.
I. Reread a favorite
Going to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
END: Poetry about mental illness
Our Numbered Days by Neil Hilborn
His recitation of poem called OCD here.

Good Luck!

I think I get it. So for example, I've read book A, so I can't read book B but I can read either Books C, D or E? Is that right?

but you need to make sure that the points you read from Start to finish are connected. reading B gives you more options to choose from!
But in theory yes, if you read A, then next should be either C, D or E.
If you also read B you get F too.

Go ahead and start.
Yes, you can do that. Di is the one in charge. Sorry Di for overstepping.
If need it, I can read to catch up any spots.
Happy Reading! Just have fun!
If I may, 🤗🇺🇸

Absolutely. Books that you started earlier, but finished after june 12 count too. We are doing this for fun!
So after the initial can I branch out and read both category A and B at the same time and then go from there as to whatever letter I've finished points to next?
Yes. If you have the time and motivation, you can read all of them!
Just keep in mind, that challenge actually starts at "Start" not A or B, and ends at "end" not R or Q. The requirements are to read both "start" and "end" and everything in between must connect somehow. Let us know what you are reading and keep us inspired!

Sending out motivation via the internet. Hope it arrives :D
Any one else trying to hurry and finish their reads in the next few days?!
The two books I'm reading right now for this are taking me longer than I planned, but the last two look like quick reads. So fingers crossed I get it done by the 15 :)

In order to qualify for the reward you need to complete 10 challenges, but you can do more if you wish. You should follow the map for your reading challenges. The challenge has 2 parts: orange color marks challenges that are related to summer and blue color marks the challenges that involve topics of mental illness (MI). You can mix and match them or only focus on one topic, just follow the arrows!
Feel free to join in just for fun or if you are feeling competitive then in order to qualify for the reward you need to
a) finish a minimum of 10 challenges, including the starting and finishing challenges. Start with the book that will make you laugh and finish with poetry about mental illness.
b) post the challenges you chose along with the book you are reading for it. You'll be able to go back and edit that comment as you figure out your way across the map and complete tasks. Please do update it with the books that you're reading so you can inspire the rest of us!
c) mark the books you have finished as read and you will have a chance to win!
The rewards are book related and adult achievements stickers by wonderful PinkyStickers. One lucky winner chosen randomly will get sticker 1, sticker 2, sticker 3 and some extra stickers the winner chooses him/herself from the Pinkystickers store. Stickers will be sent by regular mail or by digital file ( depends on winners wishes).
The map was drawn by lovely @artofafaerae. The map in full size available here
.
I will participate in the challenge also, but moderators will not be eligible for the reward.
