Short book description: The story is told in two parts. First, told by Ronald Carpenter who is a zookeeper is the story of how he began working for an organization known as The Eclipse. He comes to find out that they are capturing and keeping supernatural creatures, and helps with this effort. In the second part, Nigel Hunter, a scientist tells of how a foolish experiment he performed gets The Eclipse to take him prisoner. After living with unusual creatures, like werewolves who have also been taken prisoner, he has to escape from Ronald.
