Loved it so much more than the first one. I thought the pace was much better, I was so invested in Honda and actually Isao too (on the basis that this was Kiyoaki reincarnated).
It was such a satisfying story. I was so pleased that the murder plot wasn’t successful, but that Isao also got his perfect death in the end. I enjoyed the young, passionate, short-sighted view of Isao alongside Honda’s mature and sensible opinions.
The section where you actually have to read the League of the Divine Wind pamphlet was definitely the most plodding. Although I couldn’t stop laughing at all of the seppuku.
Gave it 4 stars but honestly think I should give it more. So much of the imagery was really beautiful.
