Hi Filipa, Im, just off to work now but Ill have a look at your tbr at lunchtime and see if I can come up with some suggestions.

Yeah, Whisper is going to be a big time commitment, but it does look really good, so I'm hoping to find some time for it soon. :)

I've started this, I'm about half way through it. So far I'm enjoying it.

(view spoiler)[Zig's the greatest character, she's been through so much. That's some impressive swearing.

Two things I don't usually like are alpha males and insta-love, but for some reason here I don't really mind it. I guess Deacon's my kind of alpha male. lol

But I'm not sure if the plot will live up to the characters, which are pretty great - a motel fire, the garage is shot up and now another fire? Whoever's after them is certainly dedicated, but it might be too much.

I haven't started yet. Its next up. Will start probably at the weekend.

Deacon and Lang were great together, and then of course there was Zig. And there were quite a few funny moments.

The only thing that took away from it for me was the (un)believability of the plot. I know it's fiction, and a few of those things on their own (fires, shoot outs, bad guys killed by mistake, trying to kill witness) might have been fine, but all together was a bit much. I also had a problem with Deacon at the end just jumping the shooter like that.

But I really liked the quiet moments with both MCs, the normalcy they were able to find in the midst of chaos with their brand new family. And I actually wouldn't mind reading a bit more about West. (hide spoiler)]

Finished this morning.
I liked it. It was a really easy read.
However, I did find the relationship a little too insta-love and the mystery, meh.
However I did enjoy it. Not sure if I am interested enough though to read book 2 about Lang's brother.

My thoughts exactly Lisa. :) I didn't realize book 2 was West's story. There was something about him that intrigued me, so I might give it a go, especially if I need it for a challenge.

Speaking of sequels - just finished Where Death Meets the Devil and it was awesome, if a book ever needed a sequel it was this one.
