Play Book Tag discussion

2.5 stars. It was a beautifully written little thing. But ultimately it didn't really hold me.

One of the things I love about being in a group that lets me explore genres is that I pick up things I wouldn't have. Many times that's a hit - and even when its not, its an experience.

This novel features a lot of things that would likely be hits for me. A little bit of magic and folklore. Complicated family dramatic plots, and coming of age issues. I think it all felt a little overboard to me in each direction. But was happy for the experience.

I do like a little folklore with my magic but think I will pass on this book.
