It's time for everyone to nominate a book for our August 2018 group read! Each month during 2018 we will have a different genre to nominate - for August, it's Short Story/Novella (between 125 - 250 page count, using the Goodreads hardback/paperback counts)

Please remember, every nomination must be by an Australian author.

NOTE: Only the beginning of a series (if a series) please :)

This thread will be open until 8th July, then our nominations will go to the vote:) Good luck and happy picking!

Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!

Our Moderator choice for August is Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer

Ah - different discussion! Sorry!

It is 😊

message 18: by Andrea (new)

Andrea | 2163 comments This is pretty difficult because the page numbers vary so much from one edition to the next. For example, I have the ebook of The Lucky Galah, which fits and I'd like to read soon, but I notice the paperback edition is over the limit.

message 19: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79977 comments Mod
That's classed as a novel, not a novella Andrea..over 300 pages 😊 We're looking for short stories over 125 pages and under 250...

That’s my point - how can we know? My edition is 211pp and I haven’t read it. Novel/novella, who’s to say?

Because of the varying total pages between ebooks and hard copy, we're going to make it easier. We'll go by the Goodreads hard copy page counts. Please check your nomination page count before posting. Thanks :)

No - not at all. Is Boyko the same as the author Ace?

I just checked again - Boyko is male, the author is female...

Maybe the "rumour" about ebooks still being available from the US site is true.....

It sounds interesting J.E. but is it a novella?
