So because I am not really an active participant in this group and only joined for the Summer Reading Challenge I won't self-promote us, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Lori for coming up with this challenge (and talk a little about our experiences if I may).
Three friends from uni and I came together for this challenge because we all liked the concept but were sure we wouldn't be able to tackle each task on our own. And now that half the challenge is over, we are looking back at one and a half months of fun. Because we are all studying to become librarians we thought it would be a fun idea to combine the challenge with social media, learning a little how to handle such a thing for the future. And so each of us took over 11 books from the challenge to read over three months and we all headed out together to take some pictures of the books we had chosen to post them later--together with our reviews of the books--on Instagram, Youtube, Tumblr and Twitter.
We had so much fun distributing the tasks, reading the books and getting recs from each other. And while our social media channels haven't exactly blown up yet, each of us feels proud of what we have accomplished so far when we take a look at our uploads. We couldn't have done that without the challenge, or without Goodreads promoting it. So thanks again for coming up with this beautiful challenge. : )
