A lot of times, I would agree with you. But in this case it wouldn't have felt right. I liked the triumphant walk out of the FAYZ. It was the kind of series that says, "These kids went through hell and came out the other side."

Yeah, I liked how it was a triumphant walk out of the FAYZ too. It really was a hellhole, and I'm glad kids were able to come out strong, including the main leaders. I guess that I thought in a book like this that a main protagonist leader would die (to show honor maybe or just for the twists of a sudden death, not that there weren't plenty of those already).


I think that is a completely accurate assessment of Caine. He was the villain we loved to hate in the FAYZ. I didn't think he had it in him, but he proved me wrong. He really did redeem himself be shouldering all the blame.
