Lord Jim discussion

Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad, is a novel about a man known as Marlow, He struggles however to share and understand the life of another man known as Jim. Jim goes out to the ocean pretty young and quickly becomes a chief and goes up in ranks. He is always dreaming about being someone, in this case a hero. Jim's chance comes however when a ship known as the Patna has a leak. Jim however does not think clearly, what will he do?
