The 102nd season of NHL hockey is scheduled to begin on October 3, 2018. Read a book set at least 50% in ONE of the home cities of the NHL “Original Six” teams: the Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York (city of) Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Required: If the setting is not obvious from the Goodreads description or metadata, please provide a reference.

Lists and pages are a good place to start, but you may need to read the book to determine if it is set at least 50% in a place.

i am intending to read Whiskey Sour the setting isn't in this books metadata but the second in the series describes her as a chicago cop is this enough or will i have to find a reference in the book

I finished a book set in NYC. It's not in the metadata. Is a quote from the book mentioning the MC goes to Columbia sufficient? What are other options?

Do suburbs of the city work? I was thinking of reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson. It seems from the synopsis that the characters live in the Chicago suburbs of Evanston and Naperville.

The setting must be within the city. If Evanston and Naperville are not within the city they would not work.

Not a Second Chance. The series is "Toronto Series" And at 5.8% of the ebook, there's a quote:

"Finished your PhD?" he asked. "Back in Toronto for good?"
She nodded.

Is this enough, or should I look for another quote?

I'd like to use Duchess by Design as a book set in NYC (the whole thing takes place in Manhattan and the Bowery) - the metadata doesn't explicitly list NYC as the setting but the blurb notes "gilded age manhattan". Would that be enough setting description for the task? (I don't have the book on hand atm to pull a quote)

The "gilded age Manhattan" in the description works, please point it out when you post.
