Regarding my previous comment: apparently i forgot i said this lol. I was in the mood for some crime reading, so i started this yesterday and am currently about 50% through.
(view spoiler)[i found the whole christine arc a bit weird... While i get where she's coming from, I don't understand how she could leave her child behind. Yes, he'll be well cared for and safe with his father, but moving so far away from your own new born baby? There could have been a better solution. It seems a bit like the author wanted an easy way to get her out of the picture, so he could set up the next romance for alex, without having to constantly involve christine for the sake of the kid.

I can't really say much about the actual crime aspect, since i remember from my first read of the series who the mastermind (reading the german version this time, but i think that's what he was called in the english one) is and how the story resolves. (hide spoiler)]

I enjoyed this one more than the previous books in the series :)

I will keep you posted. I am a little more than halfway done and have a few hours today and all day tomorrow to read so I should be able to finish this and start Roses are Red. Sorry for the delay.

I started this today. (view spoiler)[ I wasn't really a huge fan of Christine and am still not. I am not very far and am not liking her in this book. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I feel bad for Jannie having the seizures and in the hospital. No one likes a kid in the hospital especially when you don't know what it wrong. So far there have been three robberies. The Mastermind is good as all three were different. No one knows what to expect. Hard to profile if there isn't one, no consistencies to go on. (hide spoiler)]

Finished. Christine lived up to my impression of her. I am kinda glad she is out of the picture though. The crime aspect of this one is very different. I felt like Alex didn't really get into this one to much the psychology aspect.

(view spoiler)[Yes, the focus was much more on the family aspect, regarding Jannie's illness and Christine's struggles, than on the crime in this one. But the revelation that kyle craig is responsible was a clever cliffhanger to make people read the next instalment! (hide spoiler)]

Very true. That was one think I didn't see coming. It is definatrly leading somewhere.
