It felt like it was just the first chapter of a longer story, rather than a short story - at least it felt to me like it lacked a point or an ending - unless the point was that when your life is waiting in a refugee camp, there is no end to the waiting...

I had the same feeling of reading just a fragment of a book. But I enjoyed it and liked reading about life in a refugee camp from the viewpoint of refugee children.
