Jessica Laudicina Lately I have been reading the graphic novel: Fabels. I love it...yet hate it!
It is very original in ideas, but it disappoints with its plot holes, character's breaking character and constant art style changes.
My question is... Is there anyone else who feels this way about the series? Or is there something I'm missing that keeps me from seeing it in a better light? Anyone find other problems or is the series so original all holes are forgotten?

Albert (albertic0) | 31 comments I thought Mark Buckingham has always been consistently the artist for the series --- with other random (usually Vertigo) artists coming in for one-shots, anniversary issues. Once you past the second volume, the art definitely stabilizes.

I don't really notice the plot holes or characters being inconsistent. I do think it has gone on too long (should've ended after Volume 11).

Jessica Laudicina I've read up to 11 and the art changes a lot - at least in the books I've read.

I do feel they built up the "adversary" to be scary but they were a little to easily defeated. I also feel like some characters are a little to "invincible" I understand the popular fables can survive major injuries but Bigby, Boy Blue, and Frog Prince had moments where they were tooo, dare I say, god like?

Rick (rwestbrock) I read the first three or four volumes and then moved on to other things. The books were good but for whatever reason they just stopped holding my interest.
