fault in our stars
There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There's .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I'm likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful.”

other lines I loved-
“Science and religion are not at odds. Science is simply too young to understand.” from Angels & Demons
“Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody.”
“I think that if I ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them that people are starving in China or anything like that because it wouldn't change the fact that they were upset. And even if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn't really change the fact that you have what you have.”
“So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.”
from The Perks of Being a Wallflower

"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; What is essential is invisible to the eye." - from The Little Prince

This book is filled with amazing quotes but I feel as though this one can easily be applied in every day life.

"Do you take pride in your hurt? Does it make you seem large and tragic?"
"I don't know."
"Well, think about it. Maybe you're playing a part on a great stage with only yourself as audience."
"Why do you come to lecture me? I am glad you've come but why do you dig into me?"
"To see whether I can raise a little anger in you. I am a nosy man. But there is all that fallow land, and here beside me is fallow man. It seems a waste. And I have a bad feeling about waste, Because I could never afford it. Is it a good feeling to let your life lie fallow?"

Beautiful line and beautifully written book. One of my favorites. It is such a tiny moment in the book too and I am glad you have remembered it as one of your favorites. :-)
"A good story is always more dazzling than a broken piece of truth." From Diane Setterfield's "The Thirteenth Tale."

Seriously, I Love this line xD <3

But, 'Kafka On the Shore' is a delight of quotes, each para, every page is bursting with philosophical nuances. Cant recall which was the book I read lately that was so beautifully written.

Fight Club "You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, and we are all a part of the same compost pile."
Fight Club "On a large enough time line, the survival rate for everyone will drop to zero."
Anansi Boys "Spider was used to being able to push reality around a little, just a little but that was always enough. You just had to show reality who was boss, that was all. Having said that, he had never met anyone who inhabited her own reality quite so firmly as Rosie's mother.

I don't know if you've ever felt like that..."
That poem... Oh my God.
Every time I read the book, I pick it apart; and every time I pick out different things from it.
It's the saddest one I think I've ever read, but also beautiful.
Certainly haunting.
Thank you so much for sharing! I too remember that poem.
