20.8 - Nickels and Dimes - Diane Whitney's task: All Hallow's Eve

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, a horror story by American author Washington Irving was first published in 1820. It is among the earliest examples of American fiction with enduring popularity, especially during Halloween because of a character known as the Headless Horseman.

This is a one book task. Your book must be at least 300 pages in length. No books with the main page genre childrens or kids can be used for this task.

Read a book with a cover featuring a person without a head. No part of the head (anything above the neck) may be visible but, at least 50% of the torso must be shown. For the purposes of this task, the torso is defined as the area from the shoulder to hip.

Required: Include cover in your post.

Examples:
Acceptable-
A Race to Splendor by Ciji Ware The House of Special Purpose by John Boyne Deadwood by Pete Dexter Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman The Outcasts by Kathleen Kent The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

Unacceptable-
Blue Bloods (Blue Bloods, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz The Witch's Daughter (The Witch's Daughter, #1) by Paula Brackston America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray The Bourbon Kings (The Bourbon Kings, #1) by J.R. Ward Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult

Yes, I have the book in hand and agree that the red is lips but without an outline of a face or chin. I do have somewhere else it will fit, but that task has more options so I figured I would ask on this one...

Thanks

Although I saw this: The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James on my library shelves the other day and I'll probably read that instead as I can't guarantee the book version that will arrive if I try to reserve the other one.
