Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[ This book is so sweet! I'm reading it as an e-book, which I'm really liking because it separates each panel into its own page and makes it less overwhelming for my eyes haha. I really love the concept of this story and I think the author is handling it really well so far. Can't wait to keep reading! :) (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 1: (view spoiler)[ that outfit she designed was gorgeous! The see-through skirt and everything is great! And her boss is just rude! She really needed to quit (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[ this chapter was great! She was hired by a “princess” and when she fell in those high heels and pulled off the princesses towel she was actually a prince. And him saying some days he feels like a prince and some days like a princess. And he likes wearing dresses shows it’s okay to be however you are and want to be. If you’re a boy and like wearing dresses, wigs, makeup, etc, that’s okay cause it’s you it doesn’t change who you are. And that’s important and I’m glad he won Miss Marmalade! That dress she designed for him was amazing! It was absolutely splendid (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[ chapter 3 wasn't long but here's a small review seeing his parents rush him into marrying a princess made me feel bad for him. has he said 'he has his whole life to find a wife' and 'what if she finds out who I really am' and I say to that, she shouldn't care you are who you are and nothing could or will change that! just because you wear dresses doesn't change your personality (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I'm really dreading the scene where his parents are going to find out about his love for dresses because I know it's going to be so heartbreaking :( I love how this book normalizes the idea that your gender doesn't have to limit what you like or what you wear! I also love seeing all the beautiful dress designs :) (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 9: (view spoiler)[ Frances is such a good friend to Sebastian! I really admire her for wanting to help keep his secret, even when it means not being able to tell Lady Aurelia who she is. I can see a lot of room for growth for both Sebastian and Frances and I can't wait to see them develop throughout the book! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[ Oh no! That was the worst way that Sebastian's secret could've come out :( Marcel is such a jerk! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 12: (view spoiler)[ Oh my gosh!! That was too cute. I love that his dad came around to embrace the entirety of Sebastian's personality and showed up to support him at the fashion show. My favorite part of the whole graphic novel was seeing Sebastian's dad in one of Frances' dresses! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ This book was so sweet! I loved the art style and really want to read more of Jen Wang's graphic novels now. This was my first graphic novel and I look forward to reading more in the future. This book was so heartwarming and I loved the message behind it. There's nothing wrong with being a boy who likes wearing dresses and makeup! Like I said earlier, my favorite part of the book was definitely the fashion show and seeing Sebastian's parents be supportive of his choices, especially his dad. :) (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Up to page 261 (view spoiler)[ awwww!!!! I knew I loved the King and Queen!!!! The King especially now that he’s donned a dress himself. That’s love for your child and I’m there for it!!! Finished (view spoiler)[ that ended up perfectly!!! I love how Sebastian’s parents ended up accepting Lady Crystallia and in turn, the relationship between the prince/Lady Crystallia and Frances. They were so cute together!!!! And I’m so glad the fashion show was a hit!!! I’d actually love to read a sequel about the prince and Frances exploring their relationship more and maybe head towards betrothal or whatnot. (hide spoiler)]

Finished :) this book is just so sweet. Its such a heartwarming story. Whenever I read a story like this I honestly just think about all the kids who feel this way picking this up and feeling hopeful and more comfortable with themselves knowing that they arent alone. And that is just so so important 💖
