Hi John - The sign ups close tonight, however the Games will start November 19th and go until March 4th - for fifteen weeks.
Groups will be put together and announced in the next few days after I create them and get in contact with the leaders for each of the groups. Then, group boards will be created, team names will be chosen, and on Nov. 19th, everyone will begin racking in their points.
I give a bit of time as people are around the world -so November 19th depending on your part of the world (thats why boards are created a little earlier!)
Can always check the Welcome post for more details on how it runs, the duration of the games, etc.

Lol!!! You and me both!!!
Lol!!! You and me both!!!

"Each member must finish a saga, trilogy, etc. (must start and finish within the time frame!) - This can be all different series for each person on the team, it just needs to be a series with more than three books."
'must finish a sage, trilogy, etc' sounds like minimum of 3 books, but later note 'more than three' indicates at least 4 books.
Thanks

Sorry, thats my bad. I will make that more clear. It is THREE BOOK plus. So at least three, but you can go beyond that!

Have you heard from Sara and Irishmaddoc?"
hello! I haven't - go ahead and message them and see if they can add their log. If they remain silent when the games start we adjust things accordingly.

I have a question regarding one of the obstacles. It’s the read three books (trilogy, saga, etc.) in a series obstacle. Can it be graphic novel series?

I have a question about the obstacle that requires a read that starts with a letter from the word, “coffee” AND “books”.
When you say the book has to start with a letter, does that mean the first letter or it has to include one letter from “coffee” and one letter from “books”.
Please explain start, since a book can only start with ONE letter.
Also, many books start with the word, “the”, can we omit the word “the” when choosing our book?
You can exclude the small phrases like the, a, if. And the book needs to start with one of the letters you find in COFFEE AND BOOKS.

I was just wondering can you use the same book in two obstacles?
For example If I read a graphic novel can I also put that book under a new genre as its not a book I would usually read. Or do we need to have a different book for each obstacle?
Thank you

Hi Lana! A new book for each obstacle. Only one book will count!

. Read a book where the title starts with a letter in COFFEE AND BOOKS.

Hi! Nope, for that one anyone can read anything! :)

Try sending them a personal message and reaching out asking them to create a log. If you cannot get a hold of them in the next few days (it is a holiday week for a lot of people in the states so if they are there they may be on holiday), we can go from there. But lets see what that does first! Let me know :)

John had a request for Team Two. He was wondering if you could change the first post to team 2. The current post throws him off.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Not super sure what you mean. Was it because it said team one originally. Hopefully thats it & it has been changed since!
Also, I need your teams name so I can update - team two won't be your team name unless thats what you guys end up sticking with. it is more of a place holder.

I posted something on the obstacles regarding this. Only poetry books for the non-fiction genre obstacle, or graphic novel/comic can be less than that. All other books and obstacle books need to be 100+

Can anyone recommend any books with questions listed by the author at lol the end. I know I should have my own questions but I love the feeling like I am taking a test per se. I guess I am missing going to school where the schoolbooks had questions after each chapter in English literature and what not?

Try these websites for questions:
Reading Group Guides
LitLovers
You might have to join them (free) to access all the info.
By the Way ... most of those books with questions at the end ... The questions are NOT written by the author, but by the publisher's marketing team.

John wrote: "So I have updated all my books read as of 3/4. How long do we have to help our team leads count everything?"
I will collect totals in the next couple of days from each team lead!

Thank you so much for hosting this! Just checking if you know when the results will be ready? I know it has to be a lot of work just curious.
Thanks again!
