Today I added my book and I am trying to merge my personal account K. L. Hunter account into an author account.
I clicked the link next to is this you and then above the box it says:
Note: We encourage all authors to sign up under their real names, and your first name (K. L.) doesn't match — we suggest you correct this before applying.
I tried changing my name shown to my real name but that didn't work, the message was still there with my real first name in the brackets instead. Is it a problem that my personal account is under my pen name? Or is it just a glitch?

The author profile application sometimes has trouble correctly identifying names with initials as a match. But the request does still go through if you tell it to, and you can still be approved.
