Back to the beginning ... sort of...
As the saga continues, the characters are pairing up - Aelin & Rowan, Aedion & Lysandra, Manon & Dorian, Lorcan & Elide and possibly Chaol & Nesryn (although they aren't in this book).

Thoughts on each of these pairings. Which is your favorite? Why?

I'm team Aelin & Rowan, but Aedion and Lysandra are an interesting pair. Especially with what she is now doing for Aelin. Manon & Dorian and Lorcan & Elide are what I would call complicated relationships and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I can't wait for Chaol to come back. I missed him in this book and I can't wait to see what he says about Dorian and Manon.

Definitely team Aelin & Rowan! The process by which their relationship grew & developed. I loved every minute from the moment Aelin climbed off the roof in Wendy.
I'm also enjoying Aedion and Lysandra. Watching them become comfortable with one another and then wham at the end of the book.
Dorian & Manon, I understand Dorian's comment about human woman. I did recognize the attraction they had to one another at their first meeting. Lorcan & Elide jury is still out on this pairing.
Chaol & Nesryn, I believe this union could be good for both. I am still upset with Chaol for how he treated Aelin upon her return to Rifthold.

I enjoyed all of the pairings. However, in this particular installment Lorcan and Elide's chemistry was off the charts for me. I loved their banter.
