Aedion blames his father, Gavriel, for his mother's death. Is his anger warranted? Thoughts on the way their relationship develops over the course of the book.

I did not like the way Aedion approached his father and went off on him. He didn't give Gavriel a chance to talk. I think Aedion had cooled off a bit by the end of the book, but he had a lot on his mind too. Hopefully will see things get better in the next book. Maybe he'll let Gavriel explain everything.

Aedion often allows his anger to get the better of him.
I really don't blame Gavriel given that he wasn't even aware that Aedion's mother was pregnant let alone that she died. To his mind, he left to protect her from Maeve.
