It is time for quarterly book nominations. This quarterly will run from July to September Books nominated for the quarterly must be by an Irish author or deal with issues specific to Ireland.

Please remember:
1. People may only nominate one book.
2. All nominations must be seconded.
3. You can nominate a book or second a book not both.
4. If the book you nominate wins, you must lead the discussion.
5. Authors may not self nominate.
6. Do not nominate a previous group read book. See https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

Nominations shall close at midnight GMT on Sunday October 7. For those outside Ireland:

New York: 7.00pm
LA: 4.00pm
Sydney: 11.00am, 23rd June

Clare O'Beara | 159 comments Benedict Patrick is a Northern Irish author who writes fantasy. This is somewhat dark but is suitable for older YAs and the second book, which I have read, is set in a South Sea Island environment.
Recently he made
They Mostly Come Out At Night
They Mostly Come Out At Night (Yarnsworld #1) by Benedict Patrick
available discounted / download. I think it would be a nice spooky read.

Octocon is on in October and a SF&F pick suits!
The Irish National SF Con for those who are unsure.

Colleen | 1205 comments I have a couple ideas but I don't know which one to nominate, any suggestions to which or neither would be welcome.
This House is Haunted but it could be similar to The Uninvited. I haven't read either one just going by the fact they seem to be ghost stories ,I plan on reading This House is Haunted this month.
The other one is Unraveling Oliver

I've read both and you are right that [book:This House is Haunted
is a ghost story and is set in England, like The Uninvited. But in THIH, the house is itself appears and disappears.

Colleen | 1205 comments Thanks I’m really leaning toward This House is Haunted because I love John Boyne’s novels , maybe it would be fun to compare and contrast ? I haven’t read The uninvited but plan to within in the next three months .
