I am about halfway through Assassin's Quest, but real life is interfering with my reading time.

I needed some comfort reading so I just finished my umpteenth re-read of A Song for Arbonne. Not sure what's next.

message 5: by Jodie (new)

Jodie (anntsy) | 2 comments I came down with the flu so instead of reading material for grad school I made it halfway through The Book of M by Peng Shepherd . I'm liking it so far, even though i'm finding it a bit hard to suspend my disbelief long enough to really invest myself in the plot.

message 6: by Christine (new)

Christine | 637 comments I finished The Calculating Stars; I have mixed feelings about the book. Next up is Beneath the Sugar Sky

I'm starting Ship of Magic today to get ready for our next Realms of the Elderlings discussion!

message 9: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) Currently reading Unholy Land and maybe try some Lovecraft after.

Recently finished Age of Myth (it was okay), Iron Council (fantastic), and Thrawn (the best SW novel I read so far).

message 10: by Christine (new)

Christine | 637 comments I finished Beneath the Sugar Sky a couple days ago and have now moved out of topic. I'm reading Educated: A Memoir, an autobiography about a young woman who survived a difficult childhood (her father was a Mormon survivalist in Idaho) to eventually earn a PhD in history from Cambridge

message 11: by Christine (new)

Christine | 637 comments I just finished Educated: A Memoir which I highly recommend even though it is not fantasy or SciFi. Now on to Spoonbenders

message 13: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) I am completing Discworld's Industrial Revolution arc with Moving Pictures. I hope this is as good as the Moist novels.

I finished Ship of Magic and now I'm out of genre with Orange Is the New Black, which is fascinating.

Finally finished Assassin's Quest and loved it! Starting Too Like the Lightning.

message 20: by MadProfessah (new)

MadProfessah (madprofesssah) | 174 comments I’m reading FOUNDRYSIDE by Robert Jackson Bennett, first book in a new fantasy trilogy from the author of the Divine Cities trilogy.

message 21: by Christine (new)

Christine | 637 comments I just finished slogging through New York 2140 which I have trouble recommending unless you live in or love NYC and have a head for finance. Some parts and storylines are good, but I did skip over perhaps a third of the book. Now on to try something completely different: The Furnace by Prentice Rollins (which is not even listed on goodreads...)
