I will chime back in as soon as I can get my hands on a copy and read it!

Murderbot gets me, for I, too, would prefer to avoid people and go watch/read my stories.
I've still only read the first one, but once I get through this stack of other shiny book objects on my table, the rest of the series is high on my to-read list.

Since I discovered MURDERBOT, I went on to read all of Martha Wells stuff, and so far, i've read all her stand alone fantasy novels, The Raksura books (they're absolutely fantastic), and then i went on to the Rien novels in in-world chronological order (there are two stand alone novels that happen in earlier time lines, but are still connected).
It's the first time I encounter a writer I like so much since Bujold, though there are plenty of writers I love, there are only a few that seem to whisper directly to my brain and my heart like those two.
I've also discovered her patreon which has a lot of snippet material from the Raksuras and if you've read those books, you'll understand the need to get more of it.
Anyway. So… yeah, I'll be reading the fourth novella soon xD

I had an MRI the other day (everything is good) and I kept thinking about how I was Murderbot in their room. If only I had endless tv to keep me distracted.
The rest of the series is now on my tbr list.

How is this security unit such a good representation of some mental health struggles? There have been times I would have liked to walk away and stare at a wall rather than talk about about some things.

Happy Reading
Today we start our October read of All Systems Red by Martha Wells. It is novella #1 of 4 in The Murderbot Diaries (although I do see that there is a full-length book listed for 2020 publication!). Hopefully everyone can get a chance to fit it in.
All Systems Red (goodreads blurb)
Who is reading this, who has read this, how much do you love Murderbot?
As always, happy reading
